GC3040 is dedicated to work in nodular cast iron, mainly with pearlitic structure, but has also shown outstanding performance in milling of grey cast iron under wet conditions and high tensile cast iron. GC3040 is the complement of CG3020, for more toughness demanding milling operations of nodular or high tensile cast iron. Advanced double coating: Al2O3 layer gives improved resistance against abrasive wear. Wear resistant TiCN-layer with a structure that allows extremely good adhesion to the substrate. Tough WC-CO carbide with both resistance to wear and thermal loads. Good coating properties. The substrate for GC3040 is very resistant to temperature fluctuation, making the grade ideal for milling of cast iron both in dry and wet conditions.'
